Beginning in 2000 we started developing a training center that helped in attaining an ISO rating of 4. Now we have on our training site a drill tower, smoke building, propane tank to simulate lpg fires, dumpster, burn pan, props to simulate confined space, entanglement and an SCBA confidence course. We also keep vehicles on site to simulate vehicle fires and to practice with pneumatic lifting bags and extrication tools.
Our drill tower is a 3 story structure that is made to simulate multistory buildings. The structure is used to
practice things such as ladder / rope rescue, hose advancement, entanglement and others
Our smoke building is a single story 24' X 24' structure. The structure has been divided up into 4 rooms. There are 2 doors that can be closed that acts as walls so that the firefighters can be forced to go one way or the other or with both doors open they can make their own choice. The building is piped for propane simulated fires, and has the ability to have confined spaces as well. Each room is stocked with furniture to simulate a house. We have included a cut out on the top so that ventilation can be practiced also (see photo).
